The Vandelay Case is a two-piece iPhone case, with case for the iPhone and belt-clip holster. iPhone can face in to protect screen in holster. Made of molded plastic; back of case is red leather (FYI, vegans and animal rights activists). It is available at AT&T retail stores for $34.99 USD.
There are tons of speakers, stands and stand-speaker hybrids out there for iPhone 4’s, but I have to admit that the Bone Horn Stand is probably one of the most unique ones. Retro lovers sure will love this new stuff for their iPhone 4. It’s a peripheral to enhance iPhone 4′s speaker quality, and it could doubled as your iPhone 4 stand, too!
The Bone Horn speaker stand is silicon, making it portable and durable. iPhone sits in a slot that directs the speaker audio through a tube and out of a horn. It works much like an old gramophone player. The slot your phone slides into is about an inch deep; it covers your iPhone up to the bottom of the screen. There is a button overlay for your home button. On the underside there is a cutout for the sync/charge cable and a cutout for the microphone. When iPhone is sitting in the Bone Horn Stand it can be propped up in a vertical or horizontal viewing position. The iPhone charging cable will not interfere with the mount. Because the slot is silicon, it can expand to accommodate some iPhone cases, and even older iPhones. Bone Horn stand can fit an iPhone 4 with a bumper case, but anything bulkier and the home button overlay won’t line up. It will also fit any iPhone, but there is a catch. Apple switched the speaker location on iPhone 4 (moved left to right) so to use other iPhones you have to flip iPhone so it’s facing the opposite direction.
According to Book of Joe, the Bone Horn Stand “adds 12 decibels of sound pressure to your iPhone’s speakers without asking for an erg of battery juice. You can also use it to prop your iPhone into a vertical or horizontal viewing position.” It sells for only $24.95 at the Cyberguys.com and is available in three colors: Green, Black, Bone.
iLuv released their 3 new different kinds of iPhone 4 cases falling under the name of: Glacier, Spectrum, and Silk.
The Glacier Case can easily be lumped into one category as their only real differences are that one is clear, and has a glossy plastic feel, and the other is a see-through color with a smooth outer surface. hold the phone in place via tension and a miniscule lip that catches onto the metallic part of your mobile device. The face plate of glass is completely exposed on all sides. The glacier is available for $24.99 at the iLuv.
The Spectrum Case is a silicone case that comes in a variety of colors, and although its squishy, silky feel is appealing, its ability to stay on the phone was not so great. It can take a hit on the sides and back, but the case slides off the corners easily. It is extremely comfortable, and can save your phone from a little damage. The Spectrum is available for $19.99.
The Silk Case is also the same as the Glacier and you can have it for $29.99. All of these cases do come with a screen protector, but with no side to cover up the edges, this will peel off much faster than it would with a different case. It also has “iLuv” tattooed in giant letters on the back which just looks obnoxious as you can still see the lettering on the back of the phone and they lay on top of one another.

If you like your cases slim, and clear, then SwitchEasy has a collection of that. The SwitchEasy ‘s Nude for iPhone 4. According to SwitchEasy, it is a state of the art 1mm Ultra Thin casing and the case has a duo UV resistant gloss coating and was made from super strong polycarbonate material. So it can protect the iPhone 4 from scratch and bumps.
Aside from the case’s thin form factor, it also has the usual cut-outs to provide access to the different buttons of the iPhone 4. And to protect these buttons and holes from dust that might accumulate inside, SwitchEasy was gracious enough to pack in two pairs of rubber covers for the USB port and the headphone port. In addition, you also get two pieces of SwitchEasy’s anti-static screen guards, a squeegee for applying the screen guard, and a micro-fiber cloth. SwitchEasy comes in 8 different colors to choose from and you can get this for $19.99.
I read some comments through some of the people who have been using SwitchEasy’s Nude Cases and some other said that, the good thing about the Nude case is Very thin. Very light. Minimal design. High quality. Not particularly expensive. and No “lip” to get in your way. But of course, if there’s good thing there is also a bad thing and they say that, It has no drop protection. None. At all. No front glass protection. And slightly harder to access the power, volume, and silence buttons.
Overall, I would say this is a Buy unless you’re looking for drop protection.
For those people who’s keeping track of this white iPhone 4, it has now been pushed back for three times. Once to July, once to the end of the year, and now until next spring.
This news comes after an announcement by Apple spokesperson Trudy Muller said that the White iPhone 4 won’t drop until Spring 2011 and news that Apple secretly canceled the White iPhone altogether.
According to the source with connections to the Apple, The white iPhone 4 has been delayed because it can’t take good pictures. The white case leaks light back in — especially when the flash is used to take pictures.
The white iPhone 4 can’t take accurate photographs. The handset’s semi-translucent glass case leaks light in, ruining pictures taken with the internal camera, especially when the built-in flash is used.
“You don’t get accurate pictures on the white iPhone because of the color of the glass back. It washes out the pictures,”
Apple has been struggling to isolate the camera sensor. The problem may demand a complete redesign. the problem only surfaced at the last minute at a secret testing facility Apple has set up for case manufacturers.
I think Apple should not pursue this thing. Apple is causing some critics to wonder why the device is even worth pursuing. Apple might not like to get a black eye and look bad. But if it’s having such trouble getting the devices to where it wants them, it shouldn’t waste its time.
Let’s face it, the white iPhone 4 is a neat-looking smartphone, but it’s not really necessary. The black version of the device is doing just fine, and considering the delayed smartphone only offers a color change, it’s hard to see why many folks would care if Apple didn’t sell it. But its iPhone is doing just fine without it.
If Apple definitely wants to offer a white iPhone, maybe the company should consider waiting until next year when it releases an update to the iPhone 4.
