Sony has just outed 12 new Walkmen models in E, S, and A Series

Sony Japan unleashed [JP] a total of 12 new Walkman today, split into three series (E, S, and A). Technically and design-wise, we get more of the same from the Walkman front, but some models look pretty neat. The players from the E and S series will hit Japanese stores on October 9, with the A Series following on November 13.

First Up, the entry-level is the E series device:

The E Series is Sony’s new entry model line-up. Buyers will be able to choose between the NW-E050 with 2GB or 4GB ($95/120, pictured on the left top of this post the black one) and the NW-E050K with the same storage options ($120/140). The main difference is that the E050K models come with a speaker (pictured in blue).

Next Up, the S Series:

There will be five models under the S series: The NW-S754 (8GB), the NW-S755 (16GB), and the NW-S756 (32GB) will be priced at $160/200/$230. The main difference between these and the two NW-S750K branded models is that the latter come with a cradle (8GB for $200, 16GB for $230). The picture above shows all colors the S series Walkman will be available in.

The A Series

Sony also showed three models under the flagship A series. These are the NW-A855 (16GB/$280), the NW-A856 (32GB/$350), and the NW-A857 (64GB/$470). These Walkman sport a 2.8-inch OLED screen with 240×400 resolution. The model in black is pictured above.

Memorex has come out with a total of six new swanky iPod and iPhone audio systems, ranging from travel sized speaker systems to alarm clocks. Available with a black or white/aluminum style finish, these new systems are very Apple’esque in design. The systems are all compatible with the iPhone 4, as well as the new iPod Nano 6G and iPod Touch 4G.

Memorex says that they spent a year working with women and their families, inside of their homes, in order to develop a new line of products that are practical, well thoughtout, and have genuine female appeal. This is why so many of the systems in this new lineup have emphasized portability, durability and ease of use – for example, even the alarm clock on the new Clock Radio Dual Alarm feature back-lit buttons that walk you through the process of setting the time and alarm.

The innovative Clock Radio Dual Alarm (MSRP: $69.99) and Clock Radio Mini Alarm (MSRP: $49.99) feature a one-of-a-kind “lay down docking” station that allows your iPod or iPhone to play as it charges, while cradling your device from being scratched when you go to hit snooze.

Whether waking up to your iPod, iPhone, FM radio or buzzer, its stereo speakers provide high-quality sound.

Biometric iWallet Helps Prevent Identity Theft!

Was your wallet ever stolen? Do your children or someone in your household steal money from your wallet while it is unattended?Do you want to conceal your personal information and hard cash in a wallet that only YOU can open and have access to? Devices such as mobile phones and portable media players are very attractive to thieves.

If you answered YES to any or all of these questions, then you need the iWallet! The only high tech wallet developed by engineers that work in projects with NASA. Thankfully technology can help prevent valuable gadgets falling into the wrong hands.

One way to keep your wallet safe is ensuring that no-one else can get to the contents of it – that’s the idea behind the iWallet.

It has a hard case with a fingerprint reader which requires the rightful owner to swipe their finger before the wallet opens up.

Being Bluetooth-enabled also means it can be paired with a handset that alerts the user when the wallet is removed and the connection drops off.

Bluetooth only has a limited range so an alarm is triggered when a mobile phone and the iWallet are separated by more than a few metres.

The inventor, Steven Cabouli, said he came up with the idea after falling victim to a pickpocket.

I was at a busy airport overseas, and someone stole my wallet. I felt so bad, my identity was stolen, everything,” he said.

“It occurred to me to come up with something hi-tech. I looked around, there was nothing out there. So I decided to create my own hi-tech wallet.

So, what are you waiting for? Buy iWallet now for US$ 399.0.

The New iPod Nano & iPod shuffle Secret Revealed!

It Didn’t take much effort for Apple to design the new iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle. All they did was cut the old iPod Nano in Half.

What’s different from older iPod Nanos and iPod Shuffles?

in iPod’s:

The revamped OS—which is not iOS, sez Apple—doesn’t offer much in the way of new capabilities over the old Nano, since it’s focused on a streamlined control scheme. You navigate just the way you’d expect, by poking around with your finger, and twisting two fingers rotates the screen (if you happen to have it upsidedown?). There’s a home screen which you can populate with your most-used items, rearranged by tapping and holding, just like on iOS devices.

But, alas, gone are the older Nano’s video camera and video playback capabilities—the true multimedia iPod now is the iPod Touch—but the new Nano does photos, which you can manipulate with multitouch.

In iPod Shuffles:

In a lot of ways this Shuffle is a hybrid of previous generations, which is good! It’s got the buttons and squareish form of two Shuffles ago, while sharing features like VoiceOver and Genius with the most recent Shuffle. The biggest difference from any previous Shuffle, though, is the size: at 1.14 x 1.24 inches, it’s the teeniest iPod yet.

What’s cool, what’s not?

In iPod Nano:

Nixing video altogether is a bummer, and you have to wonder how easy it will be to scroll through your music when your thumb is, you know, covering the whole screen. It’s hard to shit on multitouch, but it’s also hard to imagine what it could be useful for on such a tiny display. Rotating the screen? Why not just, you know, turn the tiny iPod?.

Still, I find the little guy irrationally adorable. That fake bezel makes it look like a tiny little iPad. The nanoest iPad in all the land. And rearrangeable icons for quick access to the stuff you use most is pretty neat, too.

and in iPod Shuffles:

I like a small PMP as much as anybody, but having control over your playlist is essential, especially if you’re using it to exercise. So hooray for the return of those buttons. And the $50 price is pretty sweet. In fact, the only not cool thing about the Shuffle is that you can get the similarly sized but much, much more capable iPod Nano for a hundred bucks more—which might well actually be worth it.
